As a Mother, I often accidentally forget to, or more so miss the chance, to really give myself a nourishing meal. Some days just get too crazy, and my mindset is just focused on nourishing and looking after the kids.
I am ALWAYS asked, what a quick answer can be for mothers who are struggling to sit down to a proper meal.
My answer, always.
Have a smoothie! In my opinion, this is the quickest way to flood your cells which nutrients, in a easy and digestible manner.
You can also premake and freeze smoothies, which is an added bonus. Then all that is required in a quick blend and off you go.
What is my non negotiable when making my smoothie…
– Protein, and healthy fats.
Mama’s always include a healthy dose of 30g of protein into your smoothie! This is usually about 3 tablespoons.
Protein is what will keep you fuller for longer, balance your blood sugar and stop cravings. Team that up with some greens and healthy fats, and you have been a beautiful job of nourishing your body.
My favourite Vegan protein
This Protein is vegan, gluten free, uses organic ingredients and also is boosted by Probiotics, silica and healing herbs like ashwagandhga, maca and matcha….It’s Brilliant!
I actually like this protein blend so much, that when times get really desperate I can even drink it on it’s own easily just with filtered water, the tastes is delicious.
My current favourite blend
Green Turmeric Smoothie
1/2 cup spinach
1/2 small pear
1.5 cups coconut water
3 TBSP vanilla Glowprotein
1 Slither ginger
1 Slither Turmeric
Blend all together until smooth
